Problemi di backup e di Disaster Recovery

Ormai su tutti i i PC abbiamo centinaia di megabytes di dati tra foto, immagini, filmati, ecc. Un problema che prima o poi tutti devono affrontare (meglio prima!!!) è quello di come garantire un backup ottimale per recuperare i files in caso di perdita. La società americana Iron Mountain è specializzata in Backup, Disaster Recovery, Data Protection., ecc.

In particolare, ha il prodotto Connected Backup for PC rivolto alle aziende ma anche ai privati che, tramite un Agent installato sul proprio PC (Windows per ora e Mac in Beta), permette di fare un backup automatico utilizzando la connessione DSL veloce.

I prezzi partono da 9.95 $US al mese per 1-4 PC e 30 GB di dati da salvare.

Un Robot giocattolo molto sofisticato e… molto costosto, circa 279 $US. In Euro sarebbero molto meno, peccato che in Euro lo si riesce a trovare solo sui 300 €.
